Status of VNA Negotiations
We have resolved many of the contract issues, but the key economic issues are still in dispute.
Although VNA has given us slightly different economic proposals for the VNA Health Group of NJ (former EVVNA and former Barnabas) nurses and VNA of Englewood nurses, the common elements are: 1) VNA has not agreed to any changes in the current health plans or employees’ contributions for premiums, 2) VNA has agreed to some significant improvements in the per visit rates, and 3) VNA is proposing very low wage increases for full- and part-time staff, averaging about 1% a year for both in a three year contract.The next bargaining session is Monday, May 16.
