HPAE Statement on the Republican Plan to Repeal the ACA

HPAE President Ann Twomey responded today to the Congressional Republican plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act: 

It is official, Congressional Republicans have finally released their plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act, or as they refer to it as their “tax cut” plan.  This plan will take away health coverage for millions of patients, while providing large tax cuts for the very wealthy and pharmaceutical and insurance corporations.

Now more than ever Congress must hear from nurses and health professionals that this plan is unacceptable and irresponsible.

Call your Congressperson to let them know this repeal plan is merely a set of tax breaks for the very wealthy and will put insurance coverage out of reach for millions of Americans.
