HPAE President Urges Members to Donate to AFT’s Texas Disaster Relief Fund

The state of Texas has been hit with an unprecedented and catastrophic hurricane, with record rainfall. Hurricane Harvey will continue to pour rain on already devastated communities in Texas for another few days. Homes, schools and communities will need our help.

Our national union, the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), has a disaster relief fund that is working to make sure our union sisters and brothers in Texas and the communities they serve receive help and relief during and after this storm.

Donate to the AFT’s disaster relief fund here.

The donations to the relief fund will help our members and affected communities—from Corpus Christi to Houston—rebuild. Whether it is home damage, ruined cars, injuries from the floods or even lost school material, we’re going to make sure people get back on their feet.

I have just made a contribution to the relief fund, and want to give others the chance to help our brothers and sisters in their time of need.

Every bit counts—donate to the AFT disaster relief fund today.

In Solidarity,

Ann Twomey

President
