Local 5142 Union Update: Ratification Meeting Announcement
Victory!!! We have reached a Tentative Agreement with the New Employer, CHA. The contract has to first be voted on and ratified by a vote of our membership, and then it will take effect once the hospital is sold. This is a huge victory and a great step towards building our Union.
Come to our ratification meeting on:
Thursday, December 13th
8:00am, 4:00pm and 8:00pm
In the 2nd Floor Meeting Room at the Hospital (PCEC)
At the meeting, we will:
- Vote to rarify our new Union contract.
- Talk about how we work together as Union members to enforce our contract.
- Discuss the plan to build our Union.
After the sale takes place and we have our Union contract, the real work begins. This will be a one year contract, which means we have one year to build our local and fight for an even better contract in 2019. Talk to one of your bargaining committee members to find out how you can get involved in building our Union.
