From the OR to the lab, and from patient rooms to the cafeteria, hospitals make thousands of purchasing, waste disposal and other decisions that affect the health of patients, staff and the environment. Health Care Without Harm is an international coalition working to transform health care, without compromising patient care or safety, from an industry whose practices pollute and contribute to disease to one that promotes the health of people and the environment. Learn how you and your co-workers can be part of this exciting transformation.

Protecting Your Nursing/Professional License

Healthcare providers are required to do more documentation and paperwork than ever before, in part, because of new legal requirements. In today's healthcare environment, that may mean an increased workload with less staff to complete the job and a readiness to take shortcuts.

Kathy Gialanella, RN, Esq. will explain the pitfalls of this approach and how to "practice safely" to protect our licenses.

Speaker: Kathy Gialenella, RN, Esq.                                                   Time: 1:15 – 3:45 pm                                                                Contact hours: 2.5
