Union Liaisons are our front line source to exchange information, mobilize members into action and build power for the union - especially during contract negotiations. Our goal is to have a Liaison in every department of every school and operating unit and every campus where we have members. If your Department does not have a Union Liaison, and you would like to volunteer complete the form below.
Roles of the Liaison
• Bring member concerns to the union leadership
• Share union communications with the members in your department
• Encourage members in your department to participate in union meetings and activities
• Welcome, inform and recruit new members of the union in your department
Expectations of a Liaison
• Maintain full-membership in the union
• Attend periodic Liaison meetings on campus
• Assist Reps and Officers to schedule periodic department meetings
• Notify a Union officer if you can no longer serve as a liaison
