Hackensack Meridian Locals Begin Contract Petition Campaign

HPAE locals at Palisades Medical Center, Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Southern Ocean Medical Center, and The Harborage – all owned by Hackesack Meridian Health – have initiated a petition campaign to highlight priority issues. Contracts at Palisades, Jersey Shore, and Southern Ocean expire in several months.

ACA Repeal Would Impact 1M NJ Residents, Saddle State With $4B Annually

As thousands of people attend Congressional Town Halls (see photo above) to protest plans to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA), a new report from New Jersey Policy Perspective reveals that a repeal would directly impact more than 1 million New Jersey residents while saddling the state with some $4.2 billion annually in additional costs.

HPAE is offering Education Days March 7 (North Jersey) and March 9 (South Jersey). The daylong CE program will focus on two health and safety topics: Safe Staffing – Safe Work and Respiratory Protection for Healthcare Workers. A total of 6.0 contact hours will be awarded to members who attend both workshops during the day.
