Subject: Gov veto statement of Ann Twomey HPAE, representing 12,000 NJ nurses and health care workers

"As a result of the Governor's veto of family care and womens health care funding throughout New Jersey nurses and health care workers will be unwilling witnesses to women and families who can no longer get proper health screenings and preventive care and will turn up at our emergency rooms---too late.

As a result of this veto, the health and lives of our patients will suffer.

Our hospitals will be strained and our professional mission to provide quality care for our patients will be harmed. And of course the financial costs to our state will be high. This is just more politics as usual. And women and families will pay the price with their health."
