RUTGERS WORKERS NEED FAIR CONTRACTS NOW!
Nearly 20,000 Rutgers employees and our unions are in negotiations with the University for a new contract.
So far, management has offered no raises to staff and proposed numerous give-backs. Most contracts have already expired. It’s time to step up pressure on management.
Join us on Thursday, October 23, at 12:00 Noon, as staff and faculty from different unions throughout Rutgers mobilize for simultaneous lunchtime pickets across multiple Rutgers campuses.
We are calling on President Barchi to respect faculty and staff with the fair contracts we deserve.
Join us for lunchtime pickets and actions at any of the following Rutgers worksites:
Newark Campus – Paul Robeson Center Plaza
RBHS Newark – 185 S. Orange Ave, Medical Science Building, Room B556*
*Please note: Due to anticipated bad weather and sensitivity for University Hospital’s ongoing Ebola response, we’ve decided to move the Newark action indoors to the Medical Science Building. It will no longer be at the corner of 12th and Bergen.
Liberty Plaza – 335 George Street
Clinical Academic Building – 125 Paterson Street
Cook/Douglass – Douglas Student Center
College Ave – Center of Voorhees Mall
UBHC – 671 Hoes Lane West
UBHC – 151 Centennial Ave.
Busch – Outside Busch Dining Center
Livingston – Livingston Student Dining Center
Somerset – 1 Worlds Fair Drive
Camden – Campus Center Plaza
*Smaller actions may be planned at various off-site locations. Check with your Union Rep.
Sponsored by Reclaim Rutgers, a coalition of faculty and staff unions including HPAE, AFT, AAUP, CWA, CIR, among others, fighting for fair contracts at Rutgers. Please note, lunches will not be provided so be sure to plan accordingly.
