Pack the UH Board Meeting, Contract Now!

Join us on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the University Hospital Board of Director’s meeting in Newark to demand a fair contract for the Hospital’s nurses and professionals.

The meeting is located at the Cancer Center, B Level, Room 1120, 205 S. Orange Ave in Newark. Meet us out front at 8:00 am. The Board meeting will start at 8:30 am.

September 30th marked the one year anniversary of the expiration of our last contract with the Hospital. Despite many bargaining sessions, and your negotiation team’s willingness to work, management has refused to put any money on the table to settle this dispute.

In addition, the Hospital’s administration continues to push proposals that will severely impact your privacy rights and greatly reduce the amount of time you can take off for illness or to care for another. These concessions are being presented to all the unions in the hopes that one agrees to them and management can then use that as leverage to gain concessions from all.

The time has come for us to send University Hospital and their Board of Directors a strong message that our members are “fired up” and are willing to fight for a good contract. The Negotiating Committee is asking all of our members to join us in packing the next Board of Directors meeting so they can hear us loud and clear!
