Christmas Spirit Shines at Episcopal

Here at Episcopal, our local likes to give to those who are in need, especially during the holiday season. This year our local participated in two Christmas adventures. Our first quest was to give to one of our own, Andrew Felipi (center in the photo), who has been out sick and struggling financially. With the help of some “Christmas elves” – Betsy St. John, Ivette Rivera, Rob St. John and Richelle Kozak – we were able to hold a food drive and secret Santa for his family. The response was overwhelming and Andrew came to the hospital himself to express his gratitude.

We also contributed gifts to the Stenton Family Manor, a charity introduced to us by Pat Haynes, RN in the CRC.(Pat is on the right in the photo). Their mission at Stenton Family Manor is to empower, enrich, and promote self-confidence and pride. This agency helps families become self-sufficient in the world. Our HPAE Local 5106 and 1199c union members rallied together to make their lives merry and bright. It is satisfying to know everything we give is putting a smile on someone’s face. Thank you, Pat Haynes, for introducing us to this worthy cause.
