Informational Pickets Planned outside of Hackensack Meridian

As negotiations resume nurses and health professionals will conduct informational picketing calling on Hackensack Meridian Health to commit to safe patient limits and providing a workplace free of intimidation.

everal months of bargaining between the healthcare corporation and HPAE, the union representing nearly 2,500 healthcare professionals in HMH facilities, the union continues to bargain for contracts for 1,100 nurses at Jersey Shore Medical Center, 250 nurses at Southern Ocean Medical Center and 900 nurses and health professionals at Palisades Medical Center. Contracts for all three facilities expired in July 2018. On September 18, healthcare professionals at The Harborage, a nursing home in North Bergen, voted to ratify a new contract with Hackensack Meridian.
