We have a tentative agreement!

Our HPAE Local 5094 Negotiating Committee met on September 5th for continued negotiations for our successor agreement with Rowan University today.

Below are the updates from the session:

• We settled our remaining issues at the table including healthcare and wages to come to a full tentative agreement with Rowan University.
• We advocated for our members with regards to parking and shared the petitions that everyone filled out. During these discussions, Rowan acknowledged for the first time that parking is a problem and presented a short term and long term solution for the ongoing parking problems.
• We will be working over the next week to set up membership meetings on campus for members to hear about the changes to the contract and to vote on our new agreement.

We thank everyone who supported the team by wearing red shirts and their HPAE pins. This contract agreement is a result of the hard work of everyone in the bargaining unit.
