Our local Bargaining Committee continues to develop contract proposals that would bring us to parity with other local hospitals. Wages, improved staffing levels, and restoration of our PTO accruals and balances will be addressed. We will be presenting these proposals to management on December 19th, and will continue to meet with the hospital through January.
The only thing that is going to pressure the hospital to settle a contract that addresses our issues is if they know that our members are behind us. There is a petition circulating right now in support of our negotiating committee that we will delivered to management on the first day of bargaining. This is the first of several actions we will be taking to show that we are united behind your committee. Please find a bargaining committee member or Union rep to sign the petition as soon as possible.
We will be sending out updates after each bargaining session. Please make sure you read them. We will be contacting you to participate in activities that support our bargaining committee.
