Attention Local 5142 Members: June 25th Informational Picket
Once again, negotiations were disappointing and frustrating to say the least.
During this week’s negotiations we were joined by senior staff such as Tammy Torres and Ekne Ejimofor, along with Board Members Bill Colgan and Stephen Rosefsky. This negotiation was clearly a moment for these individuals to state their stance, once again, on what they believe to be fair working conditions and compensation. They did not want to hear anything other than their point of view and had nothing to offer in negotiating toward a common middle ground. Given the outcome of today’s negotiations and their lack of movement toward a common middle ground, we served a 10-day notice for an informational picket. So, it is now time to show senior management and the board members that we stand united in our values and worth!
On Thursday June 25th from 12pm to 2pm all nurses will join together outside the hospital in a united front to take our message to the community.
