Contract Extension Reached

We are happy to announce that because of the solidarity we have shown through petitions and other actions, we’ve been able to come to an agreement with the Hospital on a one year contract extension. As part of the extension, all nurses will receive a $5 per hour increase in their base rate of pay, and all other members will receive a $3 per hour increase effective on the first full pay period after September 4th. Additionally, all members will receive a 2.25% increase in the first full pay period after March 1st of next year.

We still have a lot of work to do to improve working conditions in the hospital, but this is a big step in getting us closer to the pay we deserve. Let’s continue to fight with unity to improve conditions both for us and our patients.
