Local 5030 Member Alert: Bargaining on Labor Market Rate Adjustments to Start
Back on June 30th of this year HPAE Local 5030 presented management with a letter requesting that HMH meet with us to negotiate a competitive wage for all our members as outlined in Article 17.2 of the CBA. As we finally started to come out of the dark days of the pandemic, we worked with Palisades to negotiate retention bonus for some areas, but the staffing and retention crisis continued. We continued to push HMH and demand that they negotiate a Labor Market Rate Adjustment for all members.
You spoke up and told your supervisors and Directors that everyone deserves a fair wage. You acted, got involved, signed the petition demanding a fair wage and you were heard. HMH has finally agreed to meet with us to bargain for a fair competitive wage for all.
Hackensack Meridian Health has confirmed the following dates to start negotiations; November 11, 16 and 18. If needed we will add more dates.
This is how we build our union power by getting involved and speaking up for fair wages for all and to protect our health and safety.
We will keep you updated as the negotiations proceed.
