EHMC last proposal 2/14/23

  • “….The Hospital’s proposal followed a review of RN salary data….” Let’s look at the EH proposal:
    • 13% increase for nurses on Step 0
    • 11% or 12% increase for nurses on Steps 1 through 5
    • 6-10% increase for nurses on Steps 6 through 10
    • 1% to 5% for nurses on Steps 11 through 30
    • Zero Increase for nurses with greater than 30 years of experience

Take a closer look at the total proposal, not just the step that affects you. And what of the nurses with greater than 30 years of experience – ZERO INCREASE.

HOSPITAL TURNOVER BY TENURE

1 year – 27.7% 1-2 years – 19.2% 2-5 years – 27.6%

“Currently listed as the number four reason why staff RNs leave, retirement is projected to remain a primary driver beyond 2030. Hospitals are getting the message with over half having a strategy that focuses on retaining the older nurse.” -NSI Nursing Solutions 2022
