HPAE local 5030 Bargaining Update #1
On 3/28/2024, HPAE Local 5030 kicked off bargaining with Hackensack Meridian Health/Palisades. We have an additional 17 days scheduled for bargaining at this time.
The Union presented the following proposals:
- Staffing ratios for
ALL bargaining units with an enforcement mechanism (meaning the hospital has to follow them). - A stronger staffing committee
- The on boarding of new positions
- ESL from day one instead of PTO
- 4 personal days per year
- Additional PTO time
The bargaining committee is determined to deliver safe staffing for our members along with wages and health & safety.

- Strike Training on April 3 & 4 at 8am, noon and 8pm via zoom
- Membership meeting on April 8 at 7am, 2pm, 4pm and 7pm at Homewood Suites
- Attend bargaining session on April 12 at 10am as members tell their unsafe staffing stories at Palisades
