Historic HPAE STRIKE Vote!
In response to Inspira’s inability to meet our demands, 83% of Inspira HPAE members participated in our HPAE strike vote, and 98% of voters authorized a strike! The results are:
- HPAE Local 5131: 82% participated and 99% authorized a strike
- HPAE Local 5621: 84% participated and 97% authorized a strike
- HPAE Local 5142: 85% participated and 99% authorized a strike
You the members VOTED YES to STRIKE!
Your “YES” vote authorizes our bargaining committee to send a 10-day strike notice to Inspira if they don’t meet our safe staffing and wage demands. This vote sends a powerful message that we are united in our demands across all Inspira hospitals. We are showing Inspira that we are serious and are NOT backing down!
We were at the bargaining table again on Friday, May 23, 2025. Because Inspira had outright rejected our proposal for nurse-to-patient ratios, many of you came out to support as well as tell your unsafe staffing stories and statements to Inspira management at the bargaining table as we reintroduced our original staffing proposal. These statements and stories were compelling. At the end of the day management agreed to bring a counterproposal on staffing to our next bargaining session on May 28, 2025. Stay tuned for updates and information on our last 3 bargaining sessions before our contract expires.
