Local 5058 Bargaining Update, July 7, 2025

We wanted to provide a quick update following our contract bargaining session on Monday, July 7th.

HMH presented “responses” to all 49 union proposals. They agreed to one so far. Unfortunately, for a significant number of our proposals, their response was either to reject them or to say that they want to hold off on discussing them. This included all of our big proposals on staffing, wages, and workplace violence. We are maintaining our position on all of those proposals.

Management provided us with eight of their proposals today, and said they intend to present more at our next bargaining session on Monday, July 14th. We will review all their proposals in detail and plan our next steps from there.
