RWJ Barnabas Health and Rutgers Proposed Partnership - Health Professionals & Allied Employees

RWJ Barnabas Health and Rutgers Proposed Partnership

In July 2017, RWJ Barnabas and Rutgers University announced a partnership that will create New Jersey’s largest academic healthcare system. The proposed partnership is hoped to improve healthcare delivery, accessibility, science innovation, and education, while creating a more competitive recruiting environment for top academics, researchers, and clinical practitioners.

Still in the early planning stages, the New Jersey Attorney General’s office is reviewing the Letter of Intent (LOI) submitted by the two parties in September of 2017. The Attorney General is assessing whether such a partnership is required to follow the CHAPA process. The LOI is posted on this website. As more materials become available, Merger Monitor will update this information.
