Newly elected HPAE leaders accept a mantle of great responsibility when they step into office, presiding over committee meetings, building new executive boards, supporting members faced with discipline or submitting grievances, representing their local at statewide HPAE meetings, handling finances, and speaking for the Union to the greater community. Leaders will engage and learn with HPAE Officers, Directors, staff members and each other for a lively, interactive, fast-moving day of training. The New Leader Orientation program provides resources, vital information and a wide overview of the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully serve as a new Leader of your local.
