HPAE Supports Loretta Weinberg Legacy Fund

May 7, 2015

HPAE Secretary-Treasurer Barbara Rosen and Local 5186 Grievance Chair Shelley Crowe attended a fund raiser for the Loretta Weinberg Legacy Fund last night in Bergen County. The fundraiser netted over $100,000 for the fund, which helps to support the Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP), a unit of the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University.

CAWP’s mission is to promote greater knowledge and understanding about women’s participation in politics and government and to enhance women’s influence and leadership in public life. CAWP’s Legacy Project honors the lifetime achievements of pioneering women and men. Donors establish named endowed funds to invest in the future of women’s public leadership. Annual income generated by the Loretta Weinberg Legacy Fund will be dedicated to the general support of the Center for American Women and Politics.
