We presented a comprehensive amended proposal on Violence Prevention which focuses on our safety at work? In return we received a counter proposal from Cooper to create a new committee - Workplace Safety. We rejected it.
Our next Union Meeting is May Third, 2024. The Agenda will include our staffing grievance, benefits, and what we can do to make OUR Union even stronger!
On Tuesday, April 30th, please join us at the Marriott in Teaneck (100 Frank W Burr Blvd, Teaneck, NJ 07666). We need to make it clear to management that staffing ratios work and they cannot continue to avoid the issue.
We presented management with our initial package of proposals. After a brief break, management came back with a handful of questions and then left for the day.
Today (4/19) both sides continued the discussion on staffing and management’s proposal was to reject our staffing ratios because in their opinion “ratios do not work.” We know staffing ratios work and we need ratios now! HMH did not
Wednesday's (4/17) session was frustrating and produced nothing. Cooper presented their initial staffing proposal as a package (this means we agree to all of it or it doesn't exist) which was disappointing.
