HPAE Local 5094 Rowan 2023 Contract Campaign Initial Meeting this Friday
In case we haven’t had the chance to meet yet, my name is Vicki Fleck and I am your new staff representative with HPAE. I will also be bargaining your contract this spring and I’m very excited to work with you all on achieving a great new contract that honors your dedication to Rowan University throughout the pandemic and builds on our past contractual wins!
This Friday, March 10, from 12-1 on Zoom I am going to hold an informational/planning meeting for anyone interested in getting involved in our bargaining committee and contract action team (CAT). All members are invited to attend. Attending the meeting does not automatically mean you’ve signed up to be on either the bargaining committee or CAT – if you are unsure but would like to get more information, this would be a great opportunity to ask questions and see how you can best get involved. At this meeting, we’ll spend the first part going over the different roles and expectations for the bargaining committee and the CAT team, respectively. The second part of the meeting we’ll discuss our preliminary organizing plan and contract campaign timeline.

As of today, only 55% of members so far have filled out the survey. The more members complete the survey, the better our bargaining committee will understand everyone’s priorities. I also encourage all of you to talk to your coworkers about the importance of filling out the contract survey – this is the first step to winning a great contract.
