Member Update: September 10, 2025

As you know, the Red Cross is seeking a reduction in the workforce and has begun to ask members to consider a few voluntary options. We were extremely frustrated to hear about this decision. We have had countless Labor Management Meetings where we’ve pointed out wasteful inefficient drives, drive set up issues, and many other decisions that increase the regions costs and yet very little has changed.

As Union leadership, we will be doing everything we can to fight for our members through this process. We will also be holding a Virtual General Membership Meeting on Sunday, October 5th at 6:00pm to discuss this issue and what we need to do to collectively fight back. We hope every member comes out, and look out for updates between now and then.
