HPAE local 5103 Election Update, October 1, 2025

The election committee has made a provisional ruling that a rerun of the Local 5103 Vice President election is required. All candidates and protesters were informed of this decision on September 26, 2025.

The appeals period is open until the end of the day on Monday, October 6, 2025, per the Local Union Election Rules. During this time, the candidates and protesting members may appeal the committee’s decision to the HPAE State Executive Committee.

The election committee’s decision to hold a rerun of only the Vice President election will become final if no appeal is filed. This decision is below.

Election Protest Decision
After careful consideration of the election protests and a thorough review of alleged irregularities concerning the Local 5103 election, it has been determined that the vice presidential race must be rerun. This decision was reached based on the exceptionally close vote count and the fact that five nomination forms were improperly handled by being returned without the necessary address corrections. An appeal may be submitted by mail or email within 10 days of receiving the Election Committee’s decision to the HPAE State Executive Committee in care of HPAE President, 110 Kinderkamack Road, Emerson, NJ 07630, or by email to [email protected].
