Local 5103 Union Update: Potential Layoffs

We are happy to announce that while we’re not out of the woods yet, management has informed us that they will not be implementing layoffs in January. This is a testament to all of the hard work that we all do as one of the highest producing regions in the country. The region does still have a mandate to reduce cost, and our Union will be very much involved in discussions with management about how to reduce these costs in a way that does not fall on the backs of our members.

To this end, please do continue to report any issues at drives through our online reporting form so that we are aware of issues. Some of these drive issues negatively affect cost, and this provides us with ammunition as we work hard to fight back any potential layoffs in the future.
