NLRB Official Sets Union Vote At NJ Nursing Homes

Law360 (February 4, 2026, 9:37 PM EST) — An American Federation of Teachers affiliate may move forward with a union representation election at a trio of South Jersey nursing homes, with a National Labor Relations Board official green lighting the election Wednesday.
In a 31-page decision and direction of election, NLRB Regional Director Kimberly Andrews held that workers at three Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice Inc. locations may vote on Health Professionals& Allied Employees representation through a mail-in ballot election later this month. Ballots are set to be sent out Feb. 13 and counted March 13.
