An overwhelming number of HPAE nurses at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center and Cooper University Health Care have ratified new contracts with enforceable staffing ratios and substantial wage increases.
After many weeks of negotiations, we finally ratified our new agreement with Englewood Health today.
We are proud to announce that we ratified our new Union contract tonight. 92% of the nurses who came out to vote, voted YES, to ratify the contract.
Cooper University Health Care reached a tentative deal with its nursing union, just before their contract was set to expire. But a strike remains possible for Cooper's 1,500 nurses.
We will be having meetings to vote on our memorandum of agreement with Englewood Health for a new, three-year, contract.

We have a contract !! Today we had our 15th negotiation session – and it was a long one.
On May 31st we reached a Tentative Agreement with Cooper. This means we will decide next Tuesday and Wednesday if we accept the agreement. If we vote yes, we will have a new union contract in place.
