Local 5185 Negotiations Update, April 23, 2025

Yesterday, April 23, our Union negotiations team met with Management for our first sessions. We presented our proposals for Fair Pay, Better Benefits, and Safe Staffing. Management committed to responding to our proposals by our next meeting on May 1. More updates to come.

Here’s what you can do to put pressure on Management:

On 4/28 – Help show Management we’re STRONG and UNITED – Wear an HPAE Sticker. Union Members at Christ, Hoboken, and the other HPAE Unions in negotiations across NJ will be joining us.

5/13 is a Union Day of Action: In the Morning, we’ll be eating breakfast with political leaders to make our case and ask for their support, in the Afternoon, we will be holding strike school sessions.
