Local 5185 Negotiations Update, May 15, 2025
Thursday (5/15), your Union Bargaining Team met with Management for our third session.
We made progress on some small issues, like making sure there’s always a paper option for PTO requests and Job Applications, and had productive discussions about new rules protecting your job from being replaced by AI.
We rejected management’s proposals to take away union protections from Social Workers and Clerical Positions, to increase probationary periods, and to limit visits by our union reps.
Because Management still has not provided key information and has still not given us their proposals around insurance, we were unable to responsibly discuss wages and benefits.
Hudson Regional continues to demand millions of dollars in cuts to benefits and differentials in exchange for smaller raises than our last contract.
Our Union’s proposals for fair wage increases and safe staffing still stand.
What You Can Do:
-
Share this information with your coworkers. Tell them HRH wants to take everything from us, and we’ll have to fight hard to get the contract we deserve.
-
Mark your calendar for the next Contract Action Team Meeting June 7, 08:00 AM, 2:00 PM, 3:45 PM, or 8:00 PM – location TBA.
-
Strike Vote June 23, 24, 25, and 26.
Thank you for standing strong.
In Solidarity,
