Local 5185 Negotiations Update, May 27, 2025
Can You Afford to Lose $3,828.51 This Year?
THAT is what HRH’s proposals would cost the AVERAGE Union Member now through January 1, 2026. On top of that, HRH wants to double your insurance premiums starting in 2026.
Negotiations continue to go slowly because Management has not given us the information we need to fully analyze these proposals, in spite of their costs to members.
We will negotiate as long as it takes to win a great new contract – even if that means going past the ‘end date’ of our old one. Members should not be concerned about negotiating past May 31 – under the law, management will still be required to respect the provisions of our last contract, minus any waivers, until we agree on a new contract.
HPAE Members at BMC and Christ will be taking a Strike Authorization Vote June 23-26. It will be electronic. You will receive a link on the 23rd and have three days to complete it. There will be tech support available if needed.
Our Next Negotiating Session Is Thursday, May 29.
OVER THE WEEKEND:
Union Members from Christ, Bayonne, and Hoboken packed the Department of Health’s CarePoint Transparency meeting and Demanded Fair Contracts Now to all the Management executives on the call.
