Local 5185 Important Union Negotiations Update, June 2, 2025
Management has not backed down from their greedy proposals to steal tens of thousands of dollars from your pockets over the next three years.
Our union has not backed down from our proposals for big raises, good benefits, and safe staffing. Progress has been slow because Management has not given us the information we need to bargain – including the documents for the insurance plan they want to double your premiums to pay for!
We have extended our Contract through July 10 (the earliest date we can legally strike) in order to give Management time to get their act together. Our next bargaining session is June 27.
It is important OUR bargaining team walk into the room with the leverage of a strike threat, authorized by a HUGE of members.
What YOU Can Do:
ATTEND The Contract Action Team Meeting June 5, at Post 19 – 8:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, 4:00 PM, or 8:00 PM
VOTE YES in our Strike Authorization Vote June 23 – 26.
This Week:
New Bridge Medical Center and Inspira Health reached tentative contract settlements with HPAE Members less than a week after Members overwhelmingly voted to authorize strikes. These settlements include major raises and staffing improvements.

401(k) Matches:
This weekend, Management intentionally missed the court-ordered deadline to begin returning your stolen 401(k) Matches. We are speaking with our bankruptcy attorney and will go back to court if necessary to enforce this order.
