Local 5107 UMC Union Negotiations , January 14, 2026

Last night (6/13), your Union Negotiations Team met with Management. Management responded to the financial and staffing proposals we made last week.

Management completely rejected our proposals to limit the number of residents a nurse can be assigned and to address issues with admissions and discharges.

For the 3-year Agreement, Management responded with a decent raise this year for people on the scale, but only a 1.75% raise for people off the Scale and for everyone in 2027 and 2028. We made progress on benefits and Tentatively Agreed to increasing the Shoe Allowance to $75.00.

Today, we are once again wearing stickers to show that we’re strong and united for fair raises and safe staffing.
