Local 5107 UMC Union Negotiations , January 16, 2026

Last night (1/15), your Union Negotiation team met with Management. We Tentatively Agreed on a $50 annual increase in HSAs starting in 2027.

Management increased their wage proposal to 2% per year minimum, with some people receiving significantly more than 2% in 2026. However, many experienced nurses would only receive the 2% under Management’s proposal.

While this is progress, we are continuing to bargain for raises that beat inflation, keep UMC competitive, and leave no one behind.

Management proposed some Staffing provisions, but would not commit to strict, Enforceable ratios.

Management is opposed to including UMC Nurses in the HPAE Retiree Medical Trust.

We continue to make progress and fight to guarantee Safe Staffing in our Contract.
