Local 5107 UMC Union Negotiations, January 22, 2026
Last night (1/22), we met with Management. We are now in agreement on most major issues. We resolved several key sticking points, including Per-Diems receiving the same minimum raise as FT & PT Members, increased staffing protections, RNs doing Supervisor Duties, and Weekend Make-Ups.
We are hopeful that we will soon have a great contract that we can all be proud of. However, Management is holding out on two remaining issues:
- Including UMC RNs in The Retiree Medical Trust.
- A Differential for RNs who take a Sub-Acute assignment.
Management’s only counterproposal for both was “NO”.
These are popular issues for many members that need to be addressed.
