Llanfair House Negotiations Update, November 5, 2025

We met with management yesterday for negotiations. Their proposals take away benefits you already earned!

Our proposals protect your benefits and provide fair wage increases.

What Management Proposed (Takebacks)

  • Reduce paid holidays from 11 down to 3 (only Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s would receive premium holiday pay)
  • Eliminates per-diems from the union
  • Elimination of all differentials for Per Diems.
  • Eliminates ONE WEEKS vacation for everyone.
  • Reduction of personal day, 3 to 2 for full-time and 2 to 1 for part time
  • Eliminate staffing language
  • Remove the non-nursing duties protections- they want to have the right to tell you to clean rooms!
  • Change the health insurance waiver in a way that may reduce your payout
  • Wage proposal that gives minimal increases to long-term employees while new hires would start at higher rates

Bottom line:

Benefits are reduced, protections are removed, and wage inequities get worse.

What the Union Proposed (Fair Wage Plan)

We submitted a wage proposal that protects seniority, raises wages fairly, and keeps benefits intact:

  • Minimum 6% wage ATB’s increase for all current employees and address wage inequities.
  • Higher wage steps that reward years of service
  • Improved staffing language
  • Holiday language protected
  • Vacation language protected
  • All shift differentials and premiums remain protected
  • Non-nursing duties language remain protected
  • Personal days benefit remain protected

Our goal is simple:

Reward loyalty. Fix wage inequities. No takeaways.

What This Means:

Management is trying to cut your benefits and call it a “raise.”

We are fighting for fair wages and to maintain the benefits you earned.

Next Step:

A membership meeting will be scheduled to review the takebacks, our wage proposal, and discuss next steps.

Stay alert for the meeting announcement.

United action is our strength!
