- LEB is aware of the concerns regarding final payment

RN Safety and Violence Updates
- The Therapeutic Violence Mitigation flag system
- How to initiate a behavioral flag
- An EARS report must be filed first, then Risk will place the flag on the patient’s chart
- The disruptive patient policy and other policies on violence in the hospital outline this process, written by Dr. Sahota
- New Nurse Sign
- Placed outside patient doors to alert all staff if patient has a violent flag and care coordination note
- BOLO alerts
- Per Marcus from Security, going forward the security team will share with clinical leadership for unit posting/awareness

Staffing Updates
- ED Nurses Picking Up Shifts
- ED management was only letting staff pick up on needs lists if less than 17 RNs were scheduled to work (with the ED still running with 19-20 nurses per shift)
- Staffing office will allow RNs to pick up through them
- Will hear a response from admin this week for updates
- K8/K9 Staffing
- Admin is looking into staffing on these units and will continue to monitor during the upcoming weeks
- Admin denies only staffing up to 8 nurses and will continue to send 9 nurses if level of care warrants and staffing is available

- Multiple step 1 and 2 grievances pending currently
General October Updates
- Repayment by Cooper for outside ACLS/BLS Certifications, etc
- Article 21.4 provides contract language regarding eligibility for reimbursement
