Local 5107 Llanfair Negotiations Update, February 17, 2026

Here is an update from our most recent negotiation session with Berkshire on 2/17/26:

  • 12 Tentative Agreements were reviewed and sent to management for signature ( outdated contract language)
  • New Arbitrator List: Management and the Union will provide updated arbitrators since those in the current contract are no longer active.
  • Health Insurance: The union requested updated enrollment numbers due to new hires. Management agreed to provide this data. We also raised concerns that the current insurance appears more expensive than the prior plan.
  • Wages:
    • We are pushing to ensure competitive wages for all members.
    • We continue to fight for stronger increases for existing staff, including percentage raises or higher minimums — whichever benefits members more.
  • Grandfathering Benefits: Management suggested grandfathering current employees by hire date; this is under review to protect existing members.
  • Next Session: February 24 at 10:00 AM. Management is expected to send a revised wage proposal before then.
