Inspira Bargaining Updates, May 6 & May 8, 2025 - Health Professionals & Allied Employees

Inspira Bargaining Updates, May 6 & May 8, 2025

Last week was a long week for our negotiation team. Tuesday, 5/6 was a long day, but resulted in little progress. Thursday, 5/8 we were back at the table until nearly 8pm, however this time we walked away with several Tentative Agreements.

The Tentative Agreements are listed and linked below the text of this email. None of them contain concessions!  Our biggest win this week was $500 in reimbursement for course registration and/or study materials related to obtaining National Certifications (Article 29 in all three contracts).  We also added new areas of practice and new National Certifications to the grid in Article 29.

As mentioned in our previous update, Inspira has rejected our safe staffing proposal and has yet to respond to our wage proposal. While it is a standard to discuss wages last, we need consistent, visible action from our members in order to keep the pressure on, especially as we head into economic negotiations.

There are several ways you can show union support. We have been giving out car magnets and are in the process of distributing lawn signs. Please put the magnets on your vehicle (the door for the gas tank is almost always magnetic), and place those signs where people can see. Check out our new billboards on Rt 55 (mile marker 47.8 northbound and southbound directly across from the Mullica Hill campus). We love seeing photos on social media showing your union support! Sharing red union pens or wearing red accessories to work (bracelets, hair accessories, socks, etc.) is another way to make our presence known. We are also asking everyone to sign the strike pledge. Information about this will be sent out this weekend for those who missed Tuesday’s sessions. You can find the link here: Strike Vote Pledge.

Our next negotiation is scheduled for Tuesday, May 13th. As we have these past weeks, we will send out an update out to all of you shortly after. We will also be sending out invites for upcoming General Membership meetings on the 20th and 21st. This will be an important meeting for you to attend as we will be discussing in totality the progress of negotiations. There will also be an opportunity to discuss safe staffing with local legislators and political figures (in-person!) at a breakfast meeting on the 21st. Please keep an eye on your email and thank you for your continued support! As always, please reach out to a union rep if you have any questions.
