OUR STRIKE BEGINS MONDAY, JUNE 9TH AT 7 AM! Below are some summaries of what to do on day 1 of the strike, and what to do right now to keep the pressure up on HMH. Your executive board and picket captains will continue to send updates, reminders, and additional information to help us all stay informed!
ON THE DAY OF: If you are on shift, clock out within the 3 minute window of 7 AM and make it out of the building BY 7AM. If you are scheduled after 7a, DO NOT go into work, join the picket line. If you are scheduled before 7a (including 6:30a shifts), you MUST report to work and work until the 7a start time. Get to the picket line asap that morning and be ready to make some noise!

ILLEGAL BOSS ACTIVITY: HMH has already broken the law several times during this fight for a fair contract, and we have filed multiple unfair labor practices against them! Report any of the following ILLEGAL actions by management to your organizers or picket captains immediately – threatening to fire or discipline you or a coworker for striking, asking you to provide strike details or plans, attempting to coerce or intimidate you, offering you an incentive to stop the strike, not providing relief for you before the 7a start time.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT: Finally, share the attached information with your friends, family, neighbors, churches, local businesses, schools, and social groups to help spread the word about our fight. Let them know that HMH is putting patients at risk without safe staffing ratios, and that they have violated our contract and labor law! Have them call CEO and millionaire Bob Garrett and, if they are local, our CNO Dawn Heath, and tell them to come back to the table with staffing ratios NOW!
