Our First Negotiations Update!
On Tuesday, 11/25, we met with Management for our first negotiations session. We presented our petition, signed by a majority of members, and then presented our non-economic and minor economic proposals (the proposals that will not cost much money).
We present these first because we don’t want them to be overshadowed by the major economic proposals we will be making later on.
Management listened to our explanations and examples, thanked us, and then caucused for the rest of the time to prepare responses.
Members joined us for open bargaining and were able to see our conversations with Management, as well as participate in our internal caucus discussions.
We were able to schedule additional dates for bargaining in December:

Please RSVP to attend. You can join at any time and stay for as much or as little time as you like. Not only is it an excellent way to stay informed, but also shows management that they are negotiating with our entire Union, not just your entire bargaining team!
