Workers’ Memorial Day pays tribute to those who were killed or injured on the job, as well as renews the fight for safe workplaces for all. In New Brunswick last week, About 400 workers from community organizations, unions (including HPAE) and faith-based groups rallied at Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple in observance of Workers’ Memorial Day.
Following the rally, workers marched through New Brunnswick to highlight unsafe working conditions in many facilities in New Jersey. The marchers held signs, with the names of injured workers and families who have lost loved ones in workplace accidents.
New Labor and the New Jersey Work Environment Council (WEC) organized the event.
