HPAE Local Supports Organizing Campaign By Palisades Medical Center Physician Residents

HPAE Local 5030, which represents RNs, non-nursing professionals, technical staff, service workers, and skilled maintenance crafts at Palisades Medical Center, is supporting the efforts of residents at the hospital to organize with the Committee of Interns and Residents/SEIU. A representation election administered by the National Labor Relations Board will be held on Friday, June 12.

The residents strongly support unionization because they have been unable to get the hospital to address their concerns regarding education and training.

Palisades Medical Center currently has residency programs in the following areas: Surgery,Traditional Rotating Internship, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Orthopedics, and Dermatology
