HPAE Local 5103 Strike Vote Meeting Notice: Sunday, November 14

This Wednesday and Thursday (3^rd and 4^th), we met with management to begin local bargaining. We exchanged proposals on a number of issues and held firm to our position that there will be no giveback in our local contract.

Our next session with management will be on the week of December 6^th. As you know, both contracts expire on December 3^rd, but we anticipate there will be a short extension for the rest of the local contracts to be completed.

We will be holding a special voting meeting with the membership on Sunday, November 14^th to give you an update and take a critical vote authorizing the Bargaining Committee to call a strike if necessary. The meeting will be held by conference call (details to come). We would of course hold another meeting before a strike is called, but this authorization gives us more leverage at the table.
