We have officially filed our grievances on PTO accrual and sick time for arbitration. This means that we will be bring these cases to a neutral arbitrator.
All 6 positions on the LEB are up for election for a new 2-year term of office. All members in good standing are eligible to be nominated and run for one of the positions.
After three full days of bargaining Wednesday-Friday, we have reached agreement on all outstanding issues except wages. A final settlement was only held up by some 11th hour nickel-and-diming on the part of Rutgers.
HPAE met with UH on Wednesday, May 22nd for another bargaining session that resulted in little progress being made.
Yesterday our membership ratified the new agreement with Bergen New Bridge by an overwhelming majority. Thanks to all who came out to vote. The contract takes effect on June 1st.
We met with Rutgers today with the goal of moving our contract to a settlement. We have been diligently working to settle the contract that would merge our two contracts together and create one nursing bargaining unit, as it always
Management once again rejected all our proposals to date.
We are very close to agreement on many issues. However, Rutgers finally presented a promised counter on out of title work and job reclassifications that we had to spend the bulk of the session reviewing and negotiating over.
We had our eleventh negotiations session with management. The action was quick with a lot of productive discussion. Shortly after lunch we agreed on a MOA for a new, three-year contract!!
