HPAE Members Join Thousands to Protest Attacks on Our Unions

Thousands of people participated in the Working People’s Day of Action on Saturday, February 24th, just two days before the U.S. Supreme Court heard Janus v. AFSCME, a court case aimed at eroding working people’s basic freedoms. HPAE members joined rallies in NYC and Philadelphia to challenge the corporations who have rigged the economic and political systems against the rest of us.

This case jeopardizes the freedom of workers to come together in strong unions and attempts to take stifle their collective voice in the workplace.

As a union, we cannot stand by and watch these corporations abuse the legal system to weaken the voice of workers in our nation. HPAE is joining efforts to demand an end to our nation’s rigged economy and political system.

Read a message from Randi Weingarten, President of the American Federation of Teachers on the importance of challenging this court case and take action to tell us why you are “union proud.”
