Next Monday, February 9, the New Jersey Senate Health committee will be hearing testimony on S-1183, a bill which establishes minimum nurse staffing standards for hospitals, ambulatory surgery facilities and certain facilities of the NJ Dept. of Human Services. S-1183 includes nurse to patient staffing ratios for all units of a hospital.

The bill is co-sponsored by NJ State Senators Joseph Vitale and Loretta Weinberg.
